Botanical Prints Card:
Day 6 of the Botanical Prints Product Medley Showcase
Welcome back to the Showcase, after our Valentine’s Day Blog Hop break yesterday.
On my card, I used the Designer Series Paper found in the Botanical Prints Product Medley kit and colored it using my Stampin’ Blends. Here’s a piece that is partially colored. The gray shading on the Designer Series Paper helps gives the colored paper depth without all the work. The biggest thing that really makes this pop is coloring the background. Here I used So Saffron for the background.
My final piece of Designer Series Paper that ended up on the card was colored with the following colors of Stampin’ Blends:
- Background: So Saffron Light
- Berries: Balmy Blue Light & Granny Apple Green Light
- Leaves: Mint Macaron Light
The focal image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink then colored in matching Stampin’ Blends to coordinate with the colored Designer Series Paper. I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and finished it with some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.
I kept the greeting simple my just stamping in Night of Navy Ink and cutting it out with a smaller die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also stamped a bit of the flower stamp on two corners after stamping off 2 times.
